STICK NEWS

Kia Ora. This is Stick News.
Tomorrow the Japanese government is set to enact a revised law that will give them more power in the fight against plastic bags.

There are 722 people in the Diet in Japan.
Like politicians in most countries, they spend their time rambling and passing silly laws. But it’s not all talking bollocks ... sometimes they pass excellent laws.
In Japan, a ridiculous amount of plastic is used. To fight against this wastefulness, the government is revising a law called The Containers and Packaging Recycling Law.
Under the revised law, the government will have more powers to harass supermarkets about reducing the use of plastic shopping bags.

And that was Stick News for Thursday the 15th of June.

Sarah How long did you go for?

Hiroko 7 days.

Sarah And what did you do?

Hiroko We went to Monet’s house. And we went to the Louvre, but we couldn’t go to the Musee D’Orsay.

Sarah Really? Why not?

Hiroko Well, my friend was in the queue before it opened and suddenly they announced that it wouldn’t open that day.

Sarah Really? Why?

Hiroko I don’t know.
