#1197 TDES Live Q + A, Kissing In Dubai, Round The Bays 2010 Auckland Fun Run

Show 1197 Monday 15 March
Watch today's show at YouTube or BlipTV.

Hi, I’m Sarah, welcome to The Daily English Show.

We’ve finally decided on a few days and times for the live broadcast.

I read all the comments and I found two times that seem to fit in with everyone’s preferences.

So here are the times:

Thursday the 25th of March from 8:30pm to 9:30pm New Zealand Time.
And: Saturday the 27th of March from 9:30am to 10:30am.

This is just a test basically, we’re trying it out to see how it goes and if we think it’s fun or interesting or useful, then we’ll probably do it again.

This time it’s just a q and a session. So come along and feel free to ask me anything.

We haven’t decided which site we’re going to use yet. So closer to the time, we’ll put all those details on this page.

You can also follow us on twitter.

I made an official twitter account for The Daily English Show for announcements like this.
It’s studiotdes, because thedailyenglishshow was too long.

And tdes is my twitter account where I ramble on about all kinds of things that usually aren’t related to studying English. And this is knf’s account.

Kia ora in Stick News today a British pair may be sent to jail for kissing in Dubai.

In November a British man and his female friend were arrested for intimate kissing and touching in public and consuming alcohol.
They received a one month jail sentence.
But their lawyer has just launched an appeal. He says the pair were just friends and the kissing didn’t take place on the lips.

And that was Stick News for Monday the 15th of March.
Kia ora.

Get a room!

The kiss took place more than 2cm from the lips...

conversations with sarah
#761 What was your time?

Step 1: Read Tamara’s lines.
Step 2: Repeat Tamara’s lines and talk to Sarah.

Tamara How was your weekend?

Sarah Good. I did Round the Bays.

Tamara What’s that?

Sarah It’s a fun run. It’s 8.4kms around the waterfront in Auckland.

Tamara What was your time?

Sarah 66 minutes.

Tamara That’s pretty good.

Sarah No、it’s not really. There were about 70,000 people doing it I think, so you can’t actually run unless you’re right at the front. So the first 5 minutes I was just standing completely still, not moving at all, and then for about the next ten minutes it was just shuffling and walking.
