#1162 TDES Goes Live? Student Arrested For Doodling, Waitangi Day Festival In Auckland

Show 1162 Monday 8 February
Watch today's show at YouTube or BlipTV.

Hi I'm Sarah. Welcome to The Daily English Show.

We are planning to do a couple of live broadcasts for a bit of an experiment. This might turn into a regular thing, or it may just be a bit of fun every now and again. We’ll see how it goes.

The first one will probably just be a Q and A session.

But before we do that I have a couple of questions.

If you’re interested in participating, watching or listening, asking questions or whatever … then, what time would you prefer?

Let’s say it will last for 30 minutes or an hour, do you have a preference for a day or a time?

Of course everyone’s in different time zones, so to make it easier, can you please give me your answer in New Zealand Time.

And I am only willing to do it between 8am and 10pm New Zealand time. I won’t do it in the middle of the night sorry, because I like sleeping. And any day is fine with me, Saturday and Sunday is no problem.

I’ve made a list of the top five times which suit me, so if you’re interested in this, please tell me which of those times you would prefer, or if none of those times suit you, then please name another time.

A = 9am to 10am
B = 10am to 11am
C = 2pm to 3pm
D = 3pm to 4pm
E = 4pm to 5pm

Also, if you have a preference for a site to use, such as Ustream, Livestream, Justin.tv, then please tell me that as well.

STICK NEWS

According to news reports a 12-year-old girl was doodling on her desk at a junior high school in New York City.
She wrote: Lex was here and I love my friends Abby and Faith and she drew a smiley face.
The girl was taken to a police station in handcuffs.
Several hours later she was released. She now has to do eight hours of community service, a book report and an essay on what she's learned from the experience.

And that was Stick News for Monday the 8th February.
Kia ora.
