Show 1188 Saturday 6 March
Watch today's show at YouTube or BlipTV.
On Wednesday night I went to see a movie in a park in Auckland called Grey Lynn Park.
It was part of a series of free events put on by the Auckland City Council called Movies In Parks.
We arrived before 7 because we thought it was staring at 7. But the movie didn’t actually start until after 8.
Before the movie, a band called Collapsing Cities played.
There were people selling drinks and popcorn.
Lots of people had bought picnics with them as well as chairs, bean bags, blankets and cushions.
The screen was really cool. I’ve never seen anything like it before.
The film started just as the sun was setting. And by the time it finished it was completely dark.
The movie we watched was called Goodbye Pork Pie. It’s a New Zealand film that came out in 1981. I’d never seen it before and I loved it. It was so funny.
