#1231 Kiwano

A few months ago I found a strange-looking fruit at the supermarket.

They called it a kiwano. Apparently it’s also known by other names such as horned melon, African horned cucumber and blowfish fruit.

I think it’s the coolest looking fruit I’ve ever seen.

I cut it in half and ate it with a spoon.

It has an interesting flavour, like a cross between banana, cucumber and lemon.

After I’d finished eating the inside, I used the hollowed fruit as cups for a banana smoothie.

Beautiful.
