#1002 It Ain't Me Babe, Google Street View, Constantly, 4th Of July

Show 1002 Friday 20 March
Watch today’s show at YouTube or BlipTV.

Hi, I’m Sarah, welcome to The Daily English Show.

Today’s song is: It Ain't Me Babe.
It’s a song by Bob Dylan that was released in 1964.

It starts like this:

Go away from my window Leave at your own chosen speed I'm not the one you want, babe I'm not the one you need

I’m not exactly sure what it means.

It sounds like it he could be singing to a lover or a potential lover, saying: We’re not right for each other, so please go away.

Or if you read the rest of the lyrics, it sounds like it could be an anti-war song, singing to a country that is looking for people to die defending the country and he doesn’t want to do that.

I think either one of those meanings makes sense. What do you think the song means?

friday joke

Your son was caught playing doctors and nurses with my eight-year-old daughter!
Let's not be too harsh on them ... they are bound to be curious about sex at that age.
Curious about sex?! He's taken her appendix out!
