STICK NEWS

Kia Ora. In Stick News today, a German football club plans to open a cemetery next to its stadium.

This soccer club in Germany has 42 thousand registered supporters. Many of them love their team so much they want to continue to be close to the club after they die.
So the club is building a graveyard, 15 metres from the stadium’s main entrance.
Fans can stay in the cemetery for 25 years.
They can also choose different packages.
Ashes in an urn for 2500 euro, a single grave for 8000 euro or a double for 12,500.

Not everyone is happy about the cemetery. Some people said it was inappropriate. And that was Stick News for Friday the 21st of July.
Kia Ora.

Step 2: Read Shozo’s line’s on the screen and talk to Sarah.

Sarah Do you want to buried or cremated when you die?

Shozo What does cremated mean?

Sarah Burnt.

Shozo Oh. Um, I’m not sure. How about you?

Sarah Cremated I think.

Shozo Why?

Sarah It just seems kind of selfish to take up so much space after you die.

Shozo Yeah, true. And getting buried is also really expensive.

Sarah Yeah. And it’s also kind of creepy to think that someone could dig you up.
